Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist Kid Bloom (Lennon Kloser) is touring in support of his new EP Inner Light Part 1 (Position Music). Kid Bloom will celebrate the release of Inner Light Part 1 with the “Inner Light” tour, his biggest North American tour to date, and will be making a stop in St. Paul, at the Amsterdam Music Hall on 3/14. Kid Bloom previously headlined the 7th Street Entry in Oct 2022.

Arlo Parks’ 2024 tour in support of My Soft Machine will stop by First Avenue this March 15, 2024. She was previously the special guest for The Current’s winter show called “Unplugged Music & Poetry”.

The poetry show has more to do with Arlo’s debut book, THE MAGIC BORDER: Poetry And Fragments From My Soft Machine, published by HarperCollins Publishing. The book consists of lyrics from her recent sophomore album, My Soft Machine, with new exclusive images by Daniyel Lowden, and 20 new poems.

We saw Grouplove in April 2011, and wrote, “Watching the band live, it looks to me to be between Hannah Hooper and Zucconi, who looked and sounded quite happy and cheerful. Every photograph I have from that night shows them laughing and smiling, it’s pretty infectious. What I liked about them is the harmony of girl/boy pop vocals. Their songs seems fun (note: no depressing Morrissey sadness here).”
