STRFKR is the press friendlier name for Starf***er. I honestly thought it was “striker” when I first saw the acronyms, just like how I thought it was “mister kraft” for MSTRKRFT (it is Masterkraft, FYI). …
Portland’s STRFKR is touring in support of their new album Parallel Realms (Polyvinyl Records). The tour will stop at First Avenue, in Minneapolis, on April 27, 2024.

04/28 Fred Armisen with Azita at Fillmore Minneapolis
We love the comedy styling of Fred Armisen (from Portlandia and Forever) so we’re really happy to see that he has expanded his successful “Comedy For Musicians but Everyone is Welcome” to the Midwest
…
Comedian, actor and musician Fred Armisen is bringing back his famed “Comedy For Musicians But Everyone is Welcome” variety show to Minneapolis, at The Fillmore, on April 28, 2024.
Drag City recording artist Azita Youssefi (aka AZITA), from Scissor Girls, will open the show.
Azita (09 July 2013)
We saw Azita in July 2013 and wrote, “Opening up the show was Azita, from Chicago. She spends her entire set behind the Cedar’s piano, which had a tall back, so she had to play in an awkward position with her back to some of the crowd. She commented that the Cedar was supposed to provide her with a mirror so she can see the audience, which by the time she played “It’s Understanding”, the mirror was brought out.”

Brooklyn art punks Gustaf opened the show, playing, basically, their entire debut album Audio Drag For Ego Slobs (Royal Mountain Records). They even played “Dog”, which was clearly not written on their setlist
…
New York’s Gustaf is touring in support of their sophomore album Package Part 2, their first project since 2021’s Audio Drag for Ego Slobs.
Gustaf (07 Oct 2021)
We accidentally caught Gustaf at Palace Theatre in Oct 2021 and was simply blown away. We loved their songs, we love their attitude, and we love their show, simply put, “Their music is described as ESG meets Jonathan Richman… and you can hear it: they got that rhythmic “dance dance dance” sound with Richman’s humorous story-songs.”
