The platinum-selling Parisian trio Caravan Palace announced their 24-date North American tour, in support of their new album Gangbusters Melody Club (Le Plan Recordings). The tour will stop by First Avenue, in Minneapolis, on April 3, 2025.

We saw Caravan Palace in June 2016 and wrote, “In all honesty, I had no idea what to expect when I walked into the Skyway Theatre to see the Parisian seven-piece big band Caravan Palace (with Loom In Essence as opener). I knew that happenstance had handed me the opportunity to review a band… but I had no clue that this band would essentially be the Love-Child of modern Electronica and 1920’s swing, or that they would in fact, steal my heart.”

Belgian-Egyptian singer Tamino is back on tour. He’ll be headlining the Fitzgerald Theater, in St Paul, on April 4, 2025. He’ll be previewing music from his forthcoming Every Dawn’s a Mountain album.

We saw Tamino in Sep 2022 and wrote, “A little trivia, but Tamino is the grandson of Egyptian singer and movie star Muharram Fouad. Like his grandfather, Tamino fusing folk music with Middle Eastern sound. He first found fame with his debut album Amir in 2018, earning over 126 million streams from fans all across the globe. He regularly sells out large venues in the UK, such as the Ancienne Belgique, a venue with a capacity of 2,000 attendees. If you couldn’t get in to see him play, some of those live recording were made available on his Live at Ancienne Belgique.”

Franz Ferdinand is back at the Fillmore this April 4, 2025.

We saw Franz Ferdinand in Aug 2022 and said, “What can I say about Franz Ferdinand that haven’t been said? The Scottish band is one of our favorite bands, and with their ability to write really catchy songs, the band had numerous hits in the UK. Unfortunately, only a few of those songs were beloved in the US… but let me tell you, those who found those Franz Ferdinand songs, they swear by it. They love it, and you can see the evidence at the Fillmore show, where everyone is singing and dancing to all the hit songs.”
