Jeffrey Lewis is an anti-folk punker, that’s a record historian, and is into all the same horror stuff I’m into… and, to top it off, an amazing comic artist and writer. Like why didn’t I know about him sooner?
Opening the show was Jo Kellen (solo artist also known from Products and Florist) and Grasping Straws (also members of touring band The Voltage).
Performance-wise was a good mixed bag. From folk acoustic, to full band, to visual storytelling, to a raw garage sound. All of it interwoven into a musical tapestry that is often humorous, self-reflective, and relatable.
