Cocktails at the Castle (Sep 25, 2026)
The annual Cocktails at the Castle is taking place September 25, 2026, at the American Swedish Institute.
This September sees the ASI’s historic Mansion transforms into a 1920s-esque destination for music clubs, dance floors, and speakeasy-style cocktail lounges… so the theme is vintage cocktail attire with music by Naomi Uyama and Her Handsome Devils and Hot Club Mania Quartet (who we just saw in July 2026).

We attended a Cocktails in the Castle in Sept 2024 and noted, “This year’s Cocktails at the Castle theme, at the American Swedish Institute, was “Country House Party”. Audience members were asked to dress in their country gear, and everyone got into the spirit of it: jeans, button shirts, cowboy hats, jean jackets, and western boots. The entertainment portion were also on the Country/Western theme, with headliners LAAMAR, Pit Stop, and Clare Doyle, as well as Line Dance with Billie (which seemed like a big hit with audience) and drag performance with Sasha Cassadine and friends. If music and dancing weren’t your thing, there’s also collaborative weaving with Riley Kleve, Riddle Masters of Hollow Hill in the Mansion, Flower Pounding Fiber Craft with Maddy Bartsch, Wax Hand Craft with Fun Jumps Entertainment, Inc., Make your own Bolo Tie station, Permanent Jewelry by Sneaky Link for Purchase, Pop up performances in Mansion, Fiber Arts Demos, various food, drinks, and, of course, the curated cocktails.”

Chelsea Wolfe is currently on tour in support of her ninth album The Dark (due out August 21st, via Loma Vista Recordings).

We saw Wolfe in March 2024 and wrote, “If you’ve never seen Chelsea Wolfe before, it’s a great, dark, foggy experience. She creates such a great atmosphere, and she sings mostly in the dark, so you can really hear her notes. Recently, her music can be heard on the A24 film X (we wrote about X and A24 here). While that music was created with 70s score in mind, her new album She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She is a little more on electronica and trip hop, as well as the usual goth rock. This is possibly due to being produced by TV on the Radio guitarist Dave Sitek, whose music is more dance and commercial, in my opinion. It’s mostly received positive reviews from critics, who called the album ambitious and adventurous. Chelsea Wolfe’s She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She is out now on Loma Vista.”
