Birdflu

Birdflu are a Classical/Death Metal band from Milwaukee, Minnesota, consisting of J-Master and Vugina and producer DV.

They released their self-titled EP in 2005 and have pretty much vanished.

I can only assume that the band broke up, so I caught up with them via their myspace last year.

Can you tell me what you’ve been up to since the EP?
JM: I started a new company called Cool Factory, we’ve been pretty busy designing pillows.

Tell me more about Cool Factory.
JM: We’re a small company that produce design and art. You might have heard of us through last year’s Kellogg’s Sand Castle Art at the Milwaukee beach.

Vugina?
VG: I, myself, have been living in Japan and was tricked in joining a Sleater Kinney cover band called Combat Rock.

I had no idea you speak Japanese!
VG: Me either!

 

When I asked them about what the future hold, they did mention they have some new music “soon”. If their music is anything as good as their debut EP, I can’t wait to catch some more Birdflu!
