Nashville based recording artist Alice Peacock will be in Minneapolis at the Dakota Jazz Club on November 2nd. We caught her show in 2010 and noted that it felt like a comfortable house show, full of friends of family… possibly due to her strong ties with Minnesota, because she grew up in White Bear Lake in Minnesota.

From my understanding, Peacock has written and ready to record a new album, set for Summer 2015. Look for a record release party at the Space in Evanston.

I’ve said it before, but I had a blast at Quintron and Miss Pussycat in 2010 at the Triple Rock Social Club. We tried to cover their show last year, but unfortunately it didn’t happen (we saw another animal band, Noah and the Whale at the Varsity Theater on October 8, 2013 instead).
So, anyway, after three years of random singles and a Grammy nomination for songwriting (“Chatterbox” 2012), Quintron’s debut LP Spellcaster II: Death In Space is out today (October 28th).
Anyway, expect a live puppet show with Miss Pussycat at the upcoming Turf Club show. Opening up for the show in St Paul is New Orleans’ Babes (not to be confused with Los Angeles’ Babes) and local band Honeystick.
