Sydney’s The Preatures are in the US touring, mostly thanks to Austin City Limits music festival in Texas (a lot of bands are touring in the Midwest because of ACL and CMJ in New York).

at Triple Rock Social Club

Sure, the Australian band The Preatures was last seen in Minneapolis last Roctober 2014, but it would seem that the Sydney-based band is back – this time with The Bots (who was last seen Turf Club in Oct 2014 and at Nether Bar in Sep 2014).

Since it’s the Triple Rock, a third band Bloods Band is also listed on the bill. I believe that band is also based out of Sydney, Australia.

For some odd reason, I really wanted to see this show because of Flo Morrissey. You may recall that I previously mentioned this 20 year old English singer because of her surname to Steven Patrick. Flo Morrissey recently toured with The Staves and opened for Damon Albarn at Les InRocks festival at Casino De Paris. Look for her debut album on Glassnote Records later this year.

Of course, the main attraction will be real life twins Ibeyi (Lisa and Naomi Diaz). We also previously mentioned that they were daughters of the late Cuban percussion Anga Díaz.

Ibeyi’s self-titled album came out this week, February 17th, 2015, via XL Recordings.
