Local favorites Frankie Teardrop (singer/guitarist Frankie T, guitarist Dan E, bassist Jack W, and drummer Joey F) recently headlined the Triple Rock Social Club, closing out the evening of Sunday, July 26th, in Minneapolis.

Local queer punk core Royal Brat opened up the show. This was the trio’s first show ever. Note: the band features Clara Salyer, from Prissy Clerks and currently in Whatever Forever (with Red Pens’ Howard Hamilton).

LVL UP from New York, plays punky, but sometimes restrained shoegazer jams. LVL UP reminds me of modern videogames…. Modern videogames give you achievement points for doing certain tasks as it pertains to the video game world. Because I can’t think of how to describe music with words, I’ll say this: if you leave your house to see live music, you will get a real life achievement point.
