MATTHEW LOGAN VASQUEZ
at 7th Street Entry
Tuesday, 04/19/16, 7:30pm ($15)

first-avenue.com

The frontman for Delta Spirit, Matthew Logan Vasquez, will be making a stop at the 7th Street Entry on Tuesday, April 19th in support of his first full length solo album Solicitor Returns.

Matthew Logan Vasquez went solo from Delta Spirit to return to the style of rock that he truly loves. He went so far as to record every single instrument on the album except for two drum tracks and one guitar track. Matthew is obviously completely in love and you can tell when listening to his music. Each note is strategically placed and each lyric is absolutely perfect.

The show will be opened by Reverend Baron (aka Danny Garcia) who’s sound is a mix of American Folk and blues. This skateboarder may be up and coming but he is sure to put on an awesome show!

THE THERMALS
with Summer Cannibals
at Turf Club
Tuesday, 04/19/16, 7:30pm ($16)

turfclub.net

We last saw The Thermals in 2013 and wrote, “There is no shortage of incredible songs from this band: “I Don’t Believe You,” “Returning to the Fold,” “Back to Gray.” The songs are often anthemic and claustrophobic at the same time owing to Harris’ confrontational vocals and dark lyrics being paired with the frantic musical pace.”

The Thermals’ latest We Disappear is out now on Saddle Creek.

Since the last time we saw Summer Cannibals opening for Chvrches in 2014 and co-headliner in 2015, the band recently announced their third album Full of It on Kill Rock Stars.

Also, local Catbath to open.
