first-avenue.com

The first time I was meant to see Widowspeak, it was supposed to be in June 2012… but their van broke down driving from Chicago to Minneapolis. I eventually caught the Brooklyn band as headliner at the 7th Street in October of that year.

Widowspeak’s new album Expect the Best is out now and they are very proud of the new record… and they are very excited to play these new tracks on this 2017 tour (which starts tomorrow!)

turfclub.net

We caught Dan Croll in November 2016 and noted, “UK folktronic singer-songwriter Dan Croll (who is one to watch as well) opened the evening with a criminally short but enjoyable thirty-five minute set of songs from his 2014 full length Sweet Disarray (Deram Records/Universal) as well as some new music set to appear on his next album.”

That “next album” is called Emerging Adulthood and it’s out now on Communion Group Ltd. Croll is touring in support of the new album and will be stopping by the Turf Club in St Paul this Saturday.
