David Bazan

David Bazan’s new record Curse Your Branches came out yesterday on one of my favorite record label, Barsuk Records. To understand Bazan, you have to look back at the band he started, Pedro the Lion.

PEDRO THE LION

After 11 years of recording under his own name, Dave Bazan has decided to bring back his band, Pedro the Lion.

Bazan mentioned, “I missed the energy of making music with other people on stage and constantly traveling alone was starting to really sting. I needed to be in a band again.”

Originally he was going to start billing as David Bazan Band (after hiring bandmates for the upcoming tour), he realized that he wanted to use the Pedro the Lion name again.

So, with that, Bazan is very excited to be back playing rock & roll as Pedro the Lion again. Please note that all the December dates have sold out.

U2

Arguably, the world’s best live band, U2 brought their Joshua Tree 30th Anniversary Tour to a crowded US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, carrying their almost forty-year old playbook, along with them.
