Opening the show was Florida’s Fame on Fire (Bryan Kuznitz – vocals, Blake Saul – guitar, Paul Spirou – bass, Alex Roman – drums). The band was originally a covers band, who gained fame when they covered Adele’s “Hello”. So it made sense that they covered Linkin Park’s “Numb”…. and based on audience feedback, this was the most popular song on their set.
They ended their brief 30-min set with “HEADSPACE”, which required audience’s participation by shouting back, “I’m okay!”

You Me At Six Setlist

Next up was English rock band You Me At Six, featuring lead singer Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes and drummer Daniel Flint. The band first hit success in 2008 with the release of their debut album Take Off Your Colours, which had the singles “Finders Keepers” and “Kiss and Tell”. By 2014, their fourth album, Cavalier Youth, landed at #1 on the UK charts.

Line for One OK Rock

The waiting line for the sold-out, all-ages show for One OK Rock was one of the longest line I’ve seen in a while. The line stretched around the block. This has to do with the strict security at the Fillmore venue, which requires you to remove all metal objects when you pass through the metal detectors. This includes removing your hat, watch, and belt, which is uncommon for many venues in the area.

I was inspired to do a quick doodle for one of my favorite ‘kick in your face’ photo that I took at the show. As you can see, the band has a lot of energy and really fun to watch.

Japanese band One OK Rock will be headlining the Fillmore in Minneapolis this October 9th. The Fueled by Ramen band’s latest single “Let Me Let You Go” is a precursor to their new album Luxury Disease (which arrives September 9th).
According to the poster, You Me At Six and Fame on Fire to open.
