So this may explain why Bristol, UK-based Fenne Lily was so tired due to lack of sleep. She said to keep herself awake, she’s been drinking hard liquor. Her humor is really dry, and you’re not quite sure

Fenne Lily (06 Mar 2022)

Bristol’s Fenne Lily has returned, co-headlining with Christian Lee Hutson. Lily’s new album
Big Picture
is out now on Dead Oceans.

We saw Fenne Lily in Mar 2022 and wrote, “She played some tracks from her new album Breach (Dead Oceans)… which they didn’t have the album for sale. She’s convinced that they may have lost the box of CDs somewhere, as she didn’t think they sold them all out. Highlight of their set was, “Laundry and Jetlag”, which required violins. “We don’t have to budget for violins, so you are going to have to imagine it,” she said.”

Christian Lee Hutson (22 Mar 2019)

We saw Christian Lee Hutson in Mar 2019 and noted, “The first act of three to take the stage was singer/songwriter Christian Lee Hutson. Hutson is a Los Angeles-based musician, just releasing a new single, ‘Northsiders’ (which Bridgers produced) from his upcoming third full-length, which will be his first in five years. Hutson, who has played with Bridgers and Jenny Lewis, did double-duty, playing also in BOCC and charmed the crowd with his well-thought out acoustic songs and deadpan humor.”

Work Wife to open.

British electronic pop legends Hot Chip is back in Minneapolis this May 23rd! They are touring in support of their sixth album Freakout/Release.

Hot Chip (14 Sep 2019)

We caught Hot Chip in Sep 2019 and wrote, “Since forming in London in 2000, Hot Chip (featuring Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin) is a main favorite of the Minneapolis/St Paul area, as the band consistently sold out all their shows whenever they play here. For those that didn’t grab a ticket, the band, with collaboration from local radio station The Current, streamed the full set live on terrestrial radio.”

Cadence Weapon to open. To be perfectly honest, we’re actually excited to see Cadence Weapon on the bill. We wrote about him in 2008, but have never seen the Canadian rapper live.
