English art rock and post-rock band Black Country, New Road (or shortened BCNR) are currently touring the USA… stopping by First Avenue on September 11th. The venue was an upgrade, having sold out the Fine Line originally.

We previously wrote about the band in July 2021 when they were touring the UK in support of their debut album For the First Time (the record was nominated for the Mercury Prize).

The large band features Tyler Hyde (vocals, bass), Lewis Evans (vocals, flute, saxophone), Georgia Ellery (violin, backing vocals), May Kershaw (vocals, keys), Charlie Wayne (drums, backing vocals), and Luke Mark (guitars).

Daneshevskaya (pronounced Dawn-eh-shev-sky-uh) will open the show.

UK’s Yard Act is on their debut headlining US tour, and the first stop is at the Fine Line Music Café in Minneapolis, this September 13.

This is one of the hottest UK band at the moment, with praises for their album The Overload by The Guardian, the Sunday Times, NME, Uncut, and many others.

Chicago’s Stuck to open. The band is fronted by former Yeesh and Clearance member Greg Obis. Stuck recently released their new LP Freak Frequency via Born Yesterday.

As you may have heard, Kula Shaker regrettably had to cancel their show in Detroit last night, under a Doctor’s advice. We have to cancel Chicago and Minneapolis also.

The KS team are sad and sorry as disappointing our loyal fans is not something we ever want to do.

As a small gesture, we have set up a webstore to sell the merchandise that was promised at these shows……

Britpop fans, I’m happy to see that Kula Shaker will be headlining the Amsterdam Bar & Hall on September 14, 2023. Fans who grew up in the 90s will remember their Indian-influenced “Govinda” and cover song Billy Joe Royal’s “Hush” (made famous by Deep Purple).

Kula Shaker’s debut album K landed #1 in the UK charts, so they were a big deal back in 1996.

Show up early to check out local British-influenced group Two Harbors, who we saw in Jun 2015 and said, “As we have previously said, this band take the best of Oasis, but leaving out the unwanted sibling rivalries. 50 Cent is touring in celebration of his 20th Anniversary of his game-changing debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin’. The tour stops in at the Stadium-sized Xcel Energy Center in St Paul on Friday, September 15, 2023.

One of the most influential rappers of all time Busta Rhymes will be joining 50 Cent on the “Final Lap” tour.

Rounding out the “Final Lap” tour will be Chicago’s multi-platinum, chart-dominating Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, producer, and actor, Jeremih. Jeremih’s latest single, “Room” features Adekunle Gold and 2 Chainz, is out now on Def Jam Recordings.

Acclaimed LA-based singer-songwriter Katelyn Tarver is on her “Compliments Only” tour. Her forthcoming sophomore album is coming out in early 2024… so she may be playing some preview tracks on this tour. She’ll be playing with Jack Gray for her UK tour in November.
