Polydream are an alternative rock band from Madison/Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They recently released Send Me to the Sun, their debut full length.
Their myspace lists that they sounds like Oasis[W♥M] and Foo Fighters, but you might be disappointed if you were looking for more agressive cock ‘n roll. Instead, Polydream sounds more like sensitive alternative rock.
“Juner” is probably a good song for an introduction, it’s a light song with some good guitar playing. The piano is a nice touch, and just when the song is about to end, but the music picks up again.
Fans that’s collecting State songs, check out “Montana”. The song feels like an alt-country song, which I think is only fitting.
I really like the ending to “Catch Me if You Can” and its use of children singing along to the chorus. Such uses occurs again in “Dreaming Of”, which features a woman singing backup.
Send Me to the Sun is out now and you can pick up the CD on their website – where it also lists they have two other singles. It also looks like they’re playing the Shank Hall in Milwaukee on May 16th.
