IdolFest at WasabiCon, Jacksonville (October 10, 2026)

With Saturday being the best in attendance, that is the perfect time to hold IdolFest at WasabiCon, in Jacksonville, Florida. This is an Idol-inspired singing, performing, and dancing show at the main events stage, within the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center.

If you’re not familiar with K-Pop or J-Pop, the singers are called Idols. I’m not sure if those Idols inspired Pop Idols and American Idols, but usually, in terms of the Asian market, the singers or dancers are very good-looking and worshiped by fans. Example of famous Idols are all the boys in BTS and the girls in BLACKPINK. Off topic, but those Idols may have it in their contract that they must appear to be single, to give the illusion that you should be dating them one day…

WasabiCon’s IdolFest, started as WasabiFest in 2022, so it’s a relatively new idea… and it can only grow in popularity. After the performance, fans were invited to come meet the Idols or take selfies or support them with buying merch.

WasabiCon lists these performers:

While most performed cover songs, I think Magical☆Laffi had some original songs that she performed for us.

I did not see Milk Soda, due to scheduling conflict with the programming, so apology for leaving early. Maybe we’ll catch them another time – they’ll also be performing at Mirai Convention, in Ft. Lauderdale, on October 17, and Conduit, in Orlando, on October 18.

There was a performer that is not listed on the schedule. That is Bunni, who was the host/MC. Personally speaking, I thought her performance was the best. “Hands up! Hands up!”, wow, she really commanded the crowd. I love her energy and jumping around.

Yours,
