World Party’s sailing the Ship of Fools
Just a quickie, but I wanted to pass along this information that World Party will be playing SXSW this year. I am hoping to attend this year, so if you’re around Austin, give me a shout.
I’ve liked this British band since I first heard “Ships of Fool”, in the early 90s. I’m sure most people will just disregard World Party as a simple one-hit-wonder band, but I’m almost certain they had another hit with “Is It Like Today?”
Anyway, with the tour dates (see below), they will also be releasing a “4-5 CD collection” this spring…. surely that’s a lot of songs for this so-called one-hit-wonder band.
