LITTLE GREEN CARS

New band Little Green Cars heads out on a first U.S. headlining tour this spring and plays the 7th St. Entry on April 1.

This Dublin-based quintet, currently riding high on the single The John Wayne, counts Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol amongst their biggest fans.

Recently signed to Glassnote/Island, they smartly hired producer Markus Dravs (Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, Bjork) to helm their first full length, Absolute Zero (out March 26 in the US) and are somewhat road-tested already, after stints opening for The Antlers and Jake Bugg.

These up-and-comers are a live show to catch for any fan of Irish country tinged rock, Band of Horses, The Lumineers, and Band of Horses, and before they blow up after two upcoming weekends at Coachella.

THE 1975

the1975.com

It’s that time of year again: SXSW. Of and around this time of year (March), we get a massive influx of British bands in the States. That’s really a benefit to everyone involved because the UK bands usually do a mini-USA tour or side shows. Expect to see more UK bands in the States (and expect us to cover many of them as possible).

Manchester’s The 1975 is heading out on the road for their new EP, Music For Cars (out March 4th on Dirty Hit). Expect the band to return to the studios after the US tour to finalize a debut album, co-produced by the band and the award-winning Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Foals).

Tickets can be purchased at artistticket.com.
