Austin's Sweet Spirit is currently on tour in support of their new self-titled EP (Nine Mile Records), available now on bandcamp.com.
Mike McCarthy (Spoon, Heartless Bastards) will produce their first record, due in summer 2015 on Nine Mile Records. Look for the band to open up for Spoon this May.

New Orlean's Luxley is MD/PHD student Ryan Gray, who took a break from his medical program to write and record his first EP Spirit with producer Ayad Al-Adhamy (formerly of Passion Pit, currently in Team Spirit) and engineer / mixer Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, The Strokes).
After the EP was released, Luxley went on tour with Bombay Bicycle Club and Milo Greene (stopping by Minneapolis last October).
Next week, April 28, 2015, Luxley compiled his Spirit Remix EP called You Are The Spirit, featuring remixes from several popular bands, including Youngblood Hawke and Tropics.

New York's Spirit Plate recently unveiled their video for "Broken Prose" from their self-titled debut album, which came out last month (March 3rd). You can watch it on YouTube.
What is a "Spirit Plate" you may ask? It is a Native American tradition of offering plates of food outside their doors for the spirits (when they are eating dinner).
