Halsey

We were lucky enough to have caught Halsey with the Kooks in 2014 and with Imagine Dragons in June 2015.
Hot on the heels of her acclaimed Room 93 EP, Halsey will release

You may recall we first caught Halsey (aka Ashley Frangipane) with The Kooks in October 2014 and wrote, “I’ve seen a lot of bands in my time, and I have to say, keep an eye out for this one.” And as predicted, Halsey has two big hit singles on her hands, “Ghost” and “New Americana” (from her debut album Badlands available on Astralwerks)… and as a result, she completely sold out her entire USA tour.

As a bonus, here is another photo of Halsey from her recent appearance in June 2015 with Imagine Dragons.

City and Colour

I was introduced to Canadian singer/songwriter City and Colour (aka Dallas Green) at a concert when a girl was swooning over the tour poster. Apparently City and Colour has
Hurray For The Riff Raff

Hurray For The Riff Raff just released their latest, Small Town Heroes, on ATO. Really good Cajun Sound. I saw them at the Mojo BBQ, two or three years ago and have always been impressed. …

CITY AND COLOUR

City and Colour (aka Dallas Green) will be in town on Saturday, in support of his highly anticipated new album If I Should Go Before You (Dine Alone Records). The record recently debuted at #16 on the Billboard 200 Chart, #3 on the Vinyl Albums Chart and #4 on the Independent Albums Chart.

Thanks to the success of his new album, his shows have been selling out across the country (but to be fair, we wrote he sells out shows in 2011).

Opening up the show will be Hurray for the Riff Raff (aka Alynda Segarra), who we previously saw at the inaugural Festival Palomino.

Parkway Drive

Parkway Drive is not a street, but a metalcore band from Byron Bay, Australia. I wanted to mention these guys before February, because they are in the middle of a US tour

PARKWAY DRIVE

at The Cabooze

Sunday, 11/08/2015, 5pm ($25)

cabooze.com

Parkway Drive
is an Australian metalcore band that I’ve been listening to for years. I cannot put into words how excited I am to finally see these guys live.

What sets these guys apart from most other metalcore bands is that they do not use clean vocals… ever. Most bands try to make their music accessible to everyone by adding clean and calm vocals. These guys really don’t care and that’s why I love them. Their music is heavy and unforgiving and I can only imagine that their live show is close to the same.

Parkway Drive will be touring in support of their newest release Ire which just came out on Epitaph Records earlier this month. They will be playing at The Cabooze in Minneapolis on Sunday, November 8th.

Thy Art Is Murder and Miss May I to open.
