Punk/rock band The Muffs is back on tour! The 90s band is still led by singer and guitarist Kim Shattuck with bassist Ronnie Barnett and Redd Kross’ Roy McDonald (the brother of Steve McDonald, who we randomly saw in NXNE 2011).

The trio was on hiatus for a long time, but in 2014 they came back with a new studio album Whoop Dee Doo (which we wrote about in May 2014).

Opening up this show will be The Magnolias, Teenage Moods and Travoramo Fa Fa Fa.

Washington’s MxPx has been around since the early 90s, but they hit mainstream success when they signed with A&M in the late 90s. This would have been the time we saw their music videos on MTV’s 120 Minutes… and if you’re a punk fan you were into these guys.

Of course their upcoming Triple Rock Social Club show is sold out.

Madison’s Masked Intruder to open.
