SHONEN KNIFE

After 35 years since their debut in Osaka, Japan, Shonen Knife is still touring and going strong… sure, only original band member Naoko Yamano is still with the band … but having seen them play a few times with the two new members (Ritsuko Taneda, Naru Ishizuka, Risa Kawano), I can attest that they are just as good as when they were in their prime.
According to their press release, this Fall’s set lists will draw from the band’s entire career, with material from the band’s earliest releases to the edgier sound of today’s Shonen Knife.
Shonen Knife’s latest album Adventure is available now on Good Charamel Records.

Remember when I said The Dean Ween Group was supposed to play October 19th (in September 2016), well it’s official: The band will be playing October 19th.
After Gene and Dean reunited for their reunion Ween show at Roy Wilkins Auditorium, the Deaner himself continues to tour with his solo band.
Dean’s The Deaner Album is to be released October 21, 2016, via ATO Records.
