Lucy Rose at Turf Club (12 Oct 2017) – Postponed

UK’s Lucy Rose was actually meant to headline at the Turf Club in 12 Oct 2017, but legendary The Jam singer and songwriter Paul Weller asked her to join him on tour (of course we caught Rose with Weller last October) – it was such a great opportunity that Rose couldn’t resist and had to put her Turf Club show on hold.
Now that the Weller tour is behind her, Rose will finally be headlining in support of her third record Something’s Changing (Arts & Crafts).

Originally booked at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall, the show was upgraded to the Cedar Cultural Center. But even with a slightly larger capacity, the show still sold out, thanks to the popularity of young Irish singer Eden.
We caught Eden (Jonathan Ng) in Sep 2016 and noted that he “has a very passionate following. They try and decipher everything from musical intro to what kind of shoes he is wearing.”
As for support act Vérité, we saw her first headlining gig in May 2016 and she definitely has her own fanbase (called “her dancing section” in front of the stage).
Vérité’s debut album Somewhere in Between is out now on Kobalt Music Recordings.

The Dying Fetus and Thy Art Is Murder co-headlining tour started a few days ago… and they’ll be in town this March 22nd at the Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis.
Show up early to check out Sanction, Enterprise Earth and Rivers Of Nihil (touring in support of their third album Where Owls Know My Name).
