Gang Of Youths

After two years since their debut record (Gang Of Youths), and relocating to London, England (as the band mentioned during the show), the actually have a full new album written, tentatively titled Go Farther In Lightness
Public Access T.V.

Opening up the show was New York’s Public Access T.V. (not to be confused with the English band Public Service Broadcasting), who played a set of straightforward rock and roll. You may recall that we talked about this band

Australian five-piece Gang of Youths (not to be confused with Gang of Four) is currently selling out a string of U.S. shows, thanks to buzz from SXSW, strong interests in their new album Go Farther In Lightness (Red Music), and appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform their new single “What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?”

We actually got to hear a lot of the new album last year when they appeared at the 7th Street (06 June 2017). One thing is for sure, singer David Le’aupepe almost spoke before every song to tell you what it is about… and it’s clear that he’s very passionate about his songs.

Go Farther In Lightness is out now on limited white vinyl in the U.S., with a CD release of March 30. I’m almost certain you can probably pick up a copy at their upcoming show.

New York’s Public Access TV (not to be confused with the band Public Service Broadcasting) and Montreal’s Common Holly to open.

The former, actually opened up for Gang of Four in 15 March 2015 and was actually the best thing about that show. Public Access TV are really good and should absolutely not be missed on this lineup.
