In his very first US headlining tour, Skip Marley will embark on his “Change” tour. The tour will find its way to St Paul at the Turf Club on April 14th (so celebrate 4/20 early!)
If you haven’t figured it out, Skip Marley is the grandson of celebrated king of reggae Bob Marley.

Grammy-Award winning duo Bob Moses (Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance) returns to Minneapolis, at First Avenue’s mainroom, this April 14th, touring in support of their latest The Silence in Between.
The record is the duo’s first full-length since signing to Astralwerks, with global partnership with Domino Recording Co. Creating the album was a difficult, as Howie explains, “Making this album was a way for us to process what we’d been going through and figure out how to move forward. We lost a good friend during the pandemic, I had my first child, Jimmy’s parents went through a divorce, and there were so many other world-shaking things happening around us. We were dealing with a lot of fear and uncertainty, and music became like our life raft. It allowed us to really focus in on the purity and the magic of our working relationship, to get back to trusting our instincts and just be as honest as possible.”

Baltimore’s Snail Mail (aka Lindsey Jordan) will be returning to First Avenue this April 15th, in support of her new album Valentine. We saw her headlined First Avenue in July 2019 , and said, “The dancefloor was completely filled with young fans, dancing and singing along. It’s clear that all her previous appearances (which all happened within two years!) that she’s built up a solid fanbase from word of mouth.”

Exociety (stylized as exociety) is a rap collective, featuring Rav, Kill Bill: The Rapper, Scuare, and Airospace. They are diverse group of friends, as they described themselves: “an Asian kid born in the Soviet Union, a Brazilian kid born in Oklahoma, a Jamaican/Grenadian kid born in the DMV, and a kid from rural South Carolina”.
They seemed inspired by anime, Japanese culture, SNES, Gorillaz, Quentin Tarantino… which are all the things we like as well.

Brazilian pianist, composer, singer Eliane Elias is currently on tour… she’s stopping by the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis.
Please note that there is an early show (7pm) and a late show (9pm).
Her recent album, Mirror Mirror came out in September from Candid Records and featured piano duet recording of Eliane with the late legendary jazz great Chick Corea, and famed Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés. The album got nominated for a Grammy for “Best Latin Jazz Album”.
