Crawlers

We love British bands, so we’re very excited to see that Liverpool rock band Crawlers will be headlining the 7th Street Entry this June 14.
If you haven’t kept up, the young band, featuring Holly Minto …

Liverpool rock band Crawlers (not to be confused with hard rock band Crawler) is currently enjoying their US debut tour in 2022… the group stopped by the 7th Street Entry on June 14.

At the 11th hour, local band Services was added to the bill. The band played a brief 30-min set.

Vermont’s trio Thus Love was next on the lineup. The trio (Echo Mars, Lu Racine, and Nathaniel van Osdol) formed in 2018. They’re working on their debut album, but already released a few Demo albums.

Watching the band’s high energy performance and post-punk music style… it’s hard to believe that they took inspirations from van Osdol’s jazz collection.

Crawlers closed out the show. Admittedly, the band, featuring Holly Minto (vocals and trumpet), Amy Woodall (lead guitar), Liv Kettle (bass guitar) and Harry Breen (drums), is still very new, they don’t even have an album. They’ve only a handful of songs, most of it available on their self-titled EP, and a few singles. But with over 30 million streams for their single “Come Over (Again)” they’ve got to strike while the iron’s hot.

Obviously, it’s their first time in America, and they are just blown away at how massive the country is. They have to drive everywhere and it takes them forever to get from one venue to another. Still, you can tell that they love the adventure and will be eager to come back to the States once they release their debut album.

As you can see from the photos, highlight of their set was during “Come Over (Again)”, they asked everyone to turn on their phone’s flashlight for singer Holly Minto to sing on the dance floor. The whole set was about 40 minutes.

If the band is coming to your time, I suggest checking them out. This US debut tour is the last time you will see the band play a small intimate venue. I can tell you that when they return, there’ll be a bigger crowd and in a larger venue.

Crawlers’ debut self-titled EP is available now on Modern Sky/Lab Records. Look for their debut album on major label Polydor Records.
