Minneapolis born punk visionaries Off with their Heads is celebrating their 10th Anniversary of their Epitaph album Home. The record is being re-issued with an exclusive vinyl color variant only available at this upcoming live show and Ryan’s website Anxious and Angry.

Ryan adds, “Hard to believe, but 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of me playing music under the title Off With Their Heads (or OWTH). What started as a gag experiment in a Minneapolis basement grew into countless lineups taking part in international adventures big and small. The DIY party project used as a means to get away from real life problems wound up evolving into a traveling therapy session for many people struggling with their own mental demons. I’ve released records on small and giant labels alike. I’ve booked my own shows and have been on agency rosters. You name it, I’ve probably been there. When the pandemic took this away from all of us, it gave some much needed time to question what it actually is that I like about playing music as I get older. I realized it’s a part of me in every way. I LIKE booking my own shows. I LIKE planning my own tours. I LIKE putting out my own records. I LIKE making all my own merch. I LIKE being connected to the people that appreciate my music. Somewhere along the way, I feel like I forgot all of these things. I allowed my own demons to take the wheel and convince me that I didn’t enjoy these things. Well I am happy to finally be able to confidently say that I love what I do.”

Single Mothers and Constant Insult to open.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

As for Yeah Yeah Yeahs, please refer to the setlist to see all the songs played. I’ll try to fill in the rest. Karen O, has, as always, a bit of a stage presence. She underwent a few jackets and costumes changes throughout their set.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be touring in support of their GRAMMY nominated 2022 album, Cool It Down (Secretly Canadian).

Yeah Yeah Yeahs with Har Mar Superstar (24 June 2013)

We last saw YYY in June 2013, which happened to be Karen O’s birthday and said, “YYY fans are a dedicated bunch who showed up two hours before the doors open. They would rush to the front and sing along to all their songs, including new songs (like “Under The Earth”, “Slave”, “Despair”, and “Sacrilege”) from Mosquito, which came out April 16th on Interscope Records. Encore was interesting, Har Mar Superstar came on stage to sing “Happy Birthday” to YYY’s additional live guitarist David Pajo.”

Perfume Genius (24 May 2017)

Perfume Genius to open.

The last time we saw Perfume Genius, it was in May 2017 and we said, “Perfume Genius is basically the stage name solo artist Mike Hadreas, began recording music under the moniker in 2008 when he moved back to Seattle. His songs often reflect his experience of being an openly gay man in a society that doesn’t always embrace what they don’t understand.”

Perfume Genius last album Ugly Season came out on Matador Records.
