October 22-26, 2025, Upcoming concerts / shows (Kansas City, MO /Lawrence, KS metro)

Ticketmaster recently acknowledged their role (but didn’t admit wrongdoing) on why shows can be so expensive–

They agreed to shut down their controversial TradeDesk platform, which allowed resellers to manage their massive inventories (with TM/LiveNation potentially raking in fees three times as tix are resold) and also claim to be further policing and banning multiple accounts.

With LiveNation President Michael Rapino previously saying concerts were “underpriced”, don’t expect any sweeping changes any time soon- with all costs going up, and acts trying to top each other or their previous tour, in terms of staging and effects, it ultimately is what it is. Regardless, support Live Music in all its forms- from the corner bars, to historic theaters, to the arenas and stadiums- there’s ‘musical gold’ to be found at all levels, if you’re open to it!

Let’s take look at the Kansas City / Lawrence KS metro musical happenings for the back half of the week, from October 22nd -26th.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 22

Swan Lake from KC Ballet, Through Oct 26, Kauffman Center,$34-$149

Continuing through Sunday! It’s the launch of the 2025-2026 season beginning with the return of the classic and highly recognized Swan Lake featuring choreography by our own Kansas City Ballet and KC Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney (after Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov)!

And, Tchaikovsky’s lavishly romantic score will be performed by our own Kansas City Symphony, conducted by KC Ballet Music Director and Conductor Ramona Pansegrau. When this production originally premiered in 2016, it broke all previous ballet repertory box office records for ticket sales.

The love story of the tale involves the wicked sorcerer Von Rothbart, who captures the beautiful Princess Odette and turns her into a swan. In this ultimate struggle of good versus evil, Von Rothbart’s spell can only be broken when a young prince pledges his love and marries Odette. Should the prince betray her, she will remain a swan forever. Multiple performances, with student discounts and pre-show talks- check the schedule.

Morrison, known for his standout role as Will Schuester on Glee, is a performer whose charisma and versatility have captivated audiences for years. With a background in musical theater, Morrison blends his vocal talents with a strong acting presence, bringing depth and charm to his performances. Recognized for his work on-stage and on-screen, he has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Awards.

Morrison describes his brand-new show, Rhythms & Revelations: “Step into a world where music and dance become more than just entertainment—they become a journey into the heart of what makes us human. Welcome to Rhythms & Revelations—a car wash for your soul. In this show, I’m not just here to perform. I’m here to spark something within you. I want you to leave with a sense of inquiry, curiosity and wonder about your own life. Join me on this journey, and let’s explore the depths within us all.”

IAMX‘s signature style of dark electronic, industrial, and glam rock, combined with theatrical visuals and intense live performances should be on full display on this 27-date, six-week “Fault Lines² North American Tour, in support of the new album Fault Lines2.

Since the debut release, Kiss + Swallow in 2004, aka Chris Corner’s musical project has been a unique and indescribable over ten studio albums, music videos, and remix releases. Corner will be joined by longtime IAMX live members Janine Gezang and Jon Siren (Psyclon Nine, Skold, Front Line Assembly) and Sarah Pray (Carrellee).

Special guests include the band Club Drugs for the North American tour.

THURSDAY OCTOBER 23

Patrick Wolf, Oct 23, recordBar, $31.16

Patrick Wolf‘s 2025 tour is centered around his new album Crying The Neck, (released in June via APPORT / Virgin Music, and his first since 2011) which was inspired by grief, rehabilitation, local folklore, and the East Kentish (UK) landscape. The album and tour explore themes of survival, the loss of his mother, and his recovery from personal struggles.

We assume this intimate date will be an acoustic show highlighting his classical and folk roots and not the bigger electronic sound of other shows, and will be Wolf emerging from the aftermath of addiction, crisis, bankruptcy, recovery and survival that shaped The Night Safari, and ten years lost to a creative block and personal upheaval. We’re happy to see he’s on the other side of things, so expect an emotionally resonant show.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 24

Warren Zeiders w Chayce Beckham, Oct 24, Cable Dahmer Arena, Independence, $38-$120

The deluxe album features six new songs including focus track “Dreamin,” a love song, “Hey There” featuring Baby Rose, and Cuco’s latest single “Sin Un Corazón,” which honors traditional Boleros and Romanticas, and a second all-Spanish track “Adios.”

Sebastian Bach, Oct 24, Ameristar, $23-$101

Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach continues his Bach Alive Tour into the fall, including this Friday night stop when the youth can go wild, in North Kansas City

Margo Price, Oct 24, Knuckleheads, $45-$68

This seems like an underplay show -rising County singer and Farm Aid board member Margo Price‘s 2025 tour, called the “Wild at Heart Tour,” supports her newest album, Hard Headed Woman (released in August) and will extend into early 2026.

The new record features themes of resilience, dignity, and dreaming, as described in the lyrics and the new song, “Don’t Wake Me Up.” This first 22-date leg of the Tour starts the night before, in St. Louis. We saw her very early-on, at the Turf Club in St. Paul, MN, and then recently at Farm Aid 40 in Minneapolis.

Playboi Carti w/Apollo Red, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang, Oct 24, T-Mobile Center,$72-$300

The “Antagonist Tour 2.0” is Playboi Carti‘s 2025 concert tour with support from Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang, and Apollo Red and is in support of Carti’s album Music, beginning on October 3 in Salt Lake City and will wrap in Atlanta on December 1.

Earlier this year, Carti secured his second #1 album on the Billboard 200 Chart selling over 298,000 album equivalents in its first week. With over 3 billion streams worldwide to date, the album is the 9th highest rap album charting debut of all time and on Spotify, is the highest debut of 2025 so far.

All 30 tracks from the album debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, making Carti the first rapper in history to chart 30 or more songs on the chart, joining Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen as only the third artist in history to ever achieve this incredible feat. (How is that even possible?!) Carti earlier performed a medley performance at this year’s BET Awards and at The Grammy Awards earlier this year with The Weeknd.

We saw opener Carson headline last year, but he was also scheduled for a gig at Cable-Dahmer Arena in Independence, which was scrapped, so this is a better chance to see these acts together in KC. Ken Carson’s most recent studio album More Chaos landed him first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and is the follow up to his Platinum-certified album A Great Chaos.

Destroy Lonely’s breakout success included the previous release of his debut album, If Looks Could Kill, and last year’s Love Lasts Forever, blending Atlanta-rooted rap with a punk-infused sound. Homixide Gang is a rap duo from Atlanta who released their debut album, Homixide Lifestyle 2—a 25-track project that melds rage rap with Southern hip-hop influences, for a darker, more refined edge.
