Ty Segall is back on tour in support of Possession.
We saw Ty Segall in March 2016 and wrote, “ Before we talk about Ty’s exceptional musical output, we have talk about his all-star supergroup The Muggers. As we previously mentioned, his band consisted of King Tuff’s Kyle Thomas (dressed in an orange jumpsuit), singer/guitarist Mikal Cronin, Cairo Gang’s Emmett Kelly, and Wand’s Cory Hanson and Evan Burrows. With only a few dates on this current tour, the band sounded incredibly tight and well-rehearsed (even when they were improvising on stage). Ty Segall came on stage in a baby mask, playfully whipping his band with what looks like an umbilical cord. Unfortunately, Ty did not commit to wearing the mask the entire show, instead taking it off for a few songs… and then putting it back on for other songs, etc. I understand that it is probably hot and uncomfortable under a mask, but it felt like he was only half-committed to the strange man-baby performance. Still, visually, it was a lot of fun watching Segall perform.”
Mod Lang (Modern Language) to open.

Los Angeles-based, critically acclaimed guitarist and singer Ana Popovic is headlining the Dakota Jazz Club, in Minneapolis, on April 21, 2026, in support of her latest album Dance To The Rhythm. Popovic was previously in the Jacksonville-area in February 2026.
Ana says:
One of my biggest strengths on stage is my ability to make people dance. Music should take you to a place where you can let go, feel the groove, and move. You want music to grab you, to have a pocket that you can’t resist. Everything else revolves around it. Blues guitar has never really been part of dance music before, and in that way, it’s revolutionary. Guitar plays a central role in these tracks, breaking down the boundaries created by time, culture, and musical traditions. With this album, I’m pushing those boundaries.
If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
