English rock band Squeeze is bringing their feel-good Summer show to St Augustine Amphitheatre, in St Augustine, on August 18, 2026. The tour will also include other favorites like Adam Ant and Haircut 100.
We saw Squeeze in Sep 2019 and noted, “As for beloved UK band Squeeze, it’s truly a delight to see the band return in full electric gear and playing many of their biggest hits from the late 70s and through the 80s. Eager fans cheered at hearing the opening notes to such hits as “Cool for Cats”, “Tempted”, or “Another Nail in My Heart” (many of which landed in the second half of their long setlist. Most of their songs were lyrically written by Chris Difford, with music added by Glenn Tilbrook, much like the Morrissey and Johnny Marr collaboration in The Smiths, so it’s probably better to compare Squeeze to The Smiths, rather than The Beatles … but they are often compared to John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Unless you’re a music Anglophile, chances are you probably haven’t heard of Squeeze. It’s really a shame, because their songs are so catchy and fun… but it’s a rarity that that modern American radio would even play their music. Having said that, they did have a hit with “Tempted” and “Hourglass” in the USA. Unfortunately, by 1982, they broke up … but then reformed in 1985, and then breaking up again in 1999.”
You know what is funny is that Haircut 100 was recently ‘slandered’ by Morrissey, who said, “Beyond playing the music, nobody else had one single idea – but the writer Gareth Roberts took it too far when he recently said: “Remove Morrissey from the Smiths and you are left with Haircut 100”” in his rant against the BBC.

90s Ska band Save Ferris returns to Jack Rabbits on August 22, 2026.
The band was last seen at Jack Rabbits on May 13, 2025: “Since Save Ferris emerged from the 90s, you would expect the audience to be in their 50’s, but it was surprisingly to see some teenagers in the audience. Perhaps they’re children of those older original fans… but it was still nice to see a different generation showing up to hear ska/punk music. Singer and band leader, Monique Powell, in red hair and blue dress, was the center of attention. All eyes were on her, as she directs the audience to hands up or dance. To get a better idea of their show, read about May 1, 2025 appearance. According to the band, the Jacksonville show was their first time they played the city as a headliner. They mentioned that they may have stopped through as part of the Warped Tour. Often with those touring music festival, the band gets lost in a sea of 100 other bands, so as headliner, it was a one-to-one with their fans.”

Charleston, SC-based indie-rockers Easy Honey will be playing Jack Rabbits, in Jacksonville, on August 29, 2026, in support of their EP Plaid (Third Brother Records).
We saw Easy Honey in Oct 2023 and said, “Easy Honey closed out the night. Originally the band came from Sewanee, Tennessee, but currently they’re based in Charleston, South Carolina. They draw inspirations from bands like The Kinks, The Replacements, and Radiohead. Looking over their setlist, they had a few songs from their self-titled debut album from 2018, but mixes in a lot of new songs, like the intro “Orbiter”, which is brand new. They have two singers (both guitarists), Selby Austin and Darby McGlone, who takes lead vocals depending on the song. The rest of the band includes drummer Charlie Holt and bassist Daniel Comen.”
