Brody writes about the Courtyard show: "Splashh killed it at the Great Escape. I caught their short set at the Courtyard right by Brighton Beach. It was considered an 'Alternative Escape' show (which is an official part of the Great Escape showcase). The band had Oasis-like vocals with loads of energy. They ended the set with a long psychedelic version of 'Vacation.' Splashh was added a day before the Festival started. They are ready to start the new Blur/Oasis rivalry with fellow UK stars Palma Violets, who just announced a gig tonight via NME at 2am at the Haunt. I'll be there. "
