Mike Birbiglia: My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend
Mike Birbiglia is probably best known for his award-winning off-Broadway hits Sleepwalk with Me (2008, but Birbiglia also starred and directed a featured film adaption in 2011).
With the release of My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, which came out November 25, 2013, New Wave Dynamics captured one of Birbiglia one-man hour long soliloquy of his heartwarming journey to find true love. There are some very funny moments, like how he met his girlfriend's boyfriend, but the majority of this stand-up is Birbiglia's biography. I didn't need look up to see if this was all true, because I felt that what Birbiglia told us was from his heart and I believed everything that came out of the man's mouth (including him throwing up at "The Scrambler"). If you are currently in love or have found love, you will laugh and cry and laugh to Mike Birbiglia's My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, however if you are currently in the "non-make-out club", then you may want to look elsewhere because you will not be able to relate to anything Birbiglia say. My Girlfriend's Boyfriend is available now on CD and DVD via New Wave Dynamics. Like Sleepwalk with Me, look for the movie adaption of My Girlfriend's Boyfriend sometime in the near future.
