Patrick Wolf
Patrick Wolf is returning to Minnesota, at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall, this November 11, 2026, as part of his “Tour of the Beast” tour.
We saw Wolf in October 2025 and said: “After putting down the tenor guitar, Wolf would move onto other instruments like the dulcimer, the keys, an electric guitar and lute. Mostly he played an electric viola for most of his solos, an instrument that he first learned to play when he was a boy. Much of Wolf’s new album mostly revolves around his mother’s passing. He made an interesting point before he played “Lughnasa” a song named after the Gaelic festival marking the start of the harvest season, a song that mentions John Barleycorn, the personification of barley with its death (harvest) and rebirth (resow). John Barleycorn is also the spirit of alcohol, which is something Wolf was struggling with during his mother’s passing. He said that mythology and folklore are there to help us. Wolf revisited some of his songs from his more youthful and energetic days like “Wind in the Wires” and “To the Lighthouse” and demonstrated that he may be a ridiculously talented musician, but he is also a wonderful singer. ”

Yelawolf
Genre-spanning songwriter, entrepreneur and multiplatinum chart-topping artist Yelawolf recently released the new single “Blood In Blood Out,” taken from the upcoming album 45. The full-length LP will be released on December 4, 2026, via ONErpm.
Yelawolf is currently doing a few dates, including a stop at the Armory, in Minneapolis (their largest venue yet?) and a weird venue called River City Railway, in Jacksonville.
We saw Yelawolf in August 2015 and wrote: “Based on the biker leather jackets, the tattoos, and hip-hop/rap sound of Yelawolf… they surely stuck out like a sore thumb. Despite being the odd band out, they definitely had their dedicated fans. Apparently, they did not play by the rules. They were slightly rude, spitting, spraying beer in the audience, lighting their setlist on fire and destroying a microphone, and giving the fingers to all the ladies in the audience. After hearing them talk about how they love the south, Hank Williams, and the confederate flag (which is a hot button at the moment), you get the feeling they do and say whatever the f*** they want and they don’t care what you think. After playing “Heartbreak” per request from a fan and ending their set with “American Youth”, the band pulled out an autographed baseball and threw it into the audience.”

Werwulf
Werwulf is an upcoming gothic folk horror film directed by Robert Eggers. The movie is coming to the USA on December 25, Christmas Day… because what better way to celebrate the birth of Christ than a good old fashion Werewolf film.
Ahead of the film, Back Lot Music announces the original song “Wynter Waxeth”, performed by Ethel Cain and written by Cain, composer Robin Carolan and filmmaker Robert Eggers, to be released on November 13th. The rest of the soundtrack will be available from Sacred Bones Records and set to release on January 29, 2027.
Composer Carolan talks about teaming up with Ethel Cain:
I’d send [Ethel Cain] medieval music, prayers, weird ambient stuff, and we’d talk through it all. It was one of those rare collaborations where we just seemed to be on the same page about everything. Initially we’d talked about her contributing vocals to the score in a more textural way, but it wasn’t long until we started discussing a full blown song. Her talent and open mindedness to try different things is honestly incredible. She sang the song in Middle English, and with Rob’s help she mastered the pronunciation on the hop, practically in one session. She brought so much earthy, feral, haunted beauty to the score, and it’s hard to imagine it without her presence.
nomi.
Rising singer, songwriter and producer nomi. (note period) released her debut EP, this wolf may cry on Earth Angel Records.
nomi. explains:
this wolf may cry is my first full body of work. It’s an EP for people who are tough but sensitive. It’s about the weight of being strong and the courage it takes to let yourself cry anyway. I got deeply personal here, about my relationship with myself and with others. These songs are me finally giving myself the chance to ‘cry.’

Olivia Wolf
Nashville singer-songwriter Olivia Wolf shares her new single “Galilee” featuring Buddy Miller, the latest single from her sophomore album Snake Of Diamonds (available January 22 via Soundly Music/Thirty Tigers).
Wolf adds:
I wrote ‘Galilee’ coming out of a four-year relationship where we were doing everything together, but there was always this uncertainty about the future. I think you can spend a long time loving somebody and living day to day, but eventually you reach a point where you have to ask the question you’ve been afraid to ask: Are we building a future together, or are we just passing time? It’s not about needing a promise that everything will work out. It’s about knowing whether we were both headed in the same direction. I’d go anywhere with somebody I love, but I can’t keep going nowhere.

Ava Liv Mabry
Tennessee-based singer-songwriter Ava Liv Mabry is putting a twist on the classic fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf, with her song hopeless romantic with her new song “Crying Wolf,” out now via Blue Highway Records.
“Crying Wolf” was co-written with Jake Etheridge, Louis Johnson and Sam Tinnesz.
The song is described as:
Set against a gentle guitar melody and shimmering strings, the song captures the all-too-familiar experience of getting swept up in a new romance, daydreaming about forever and being absolutely certain you’ve found ‘the one,’ only to discover he wasn’t Prince Charming after all. Yet no matter how many times love proves her wrong, she can’t help believing the next one just might be forever.
