Portugal’s Best Youth will be releasing their debut LP this February 2015. They did not tell me the title or album artwork.

However, last December, the duo (Ed Rocha Gonçalves and Catarina Salinas) revealed the preceding single, “Red Diamond”.

According to their Facebook, recently (12 Jan 2015) the band went to Lisbon to play two songs on “Autores Fora D’Horas” (link). The program will air this Friday (16 Jan 2015), check your local listing for additional time and information.

They did not say which two songs they played, but I am assuming one of those songs were “Red Diamond”?

We caught Matthew E. White a few years ago with Okkervil River in Minneapolis (11/01/13). At the time he was promoting his re-release of Big Inner.

White is back with a new album Fresh Blood, coming out on 9 March 2015 via Domino. Fresh Blood will be available on CD (WIGCD309), vinyl (WIGLP309) and via digital download (WIG309D). There is also a special edition of the album, which is a double LP gatefold heavyweight vinyl (WIGLP309X) containing a bonus LP titled Fresh Blood: No Skin – a full length minimalist mix of the entire album, minus strings/horns or choir.

Los Angeles’ Christian Berishaj, or otherwise known as his stage name JMSN (‘Jameson’) released his JMSN (Blue Album) last December 9, 2014, via White Room Records.

Originally the album was going to be called The Blue Album, listed for August 2014, but since it came out in early December, it was simply self-titled (JMSN), but the record is still referred to as the Blue Album. This reminds me of Weezer’s debut album, which is self-titled, but everyone called it the Blue Album.

Republic Records recently revealed the cover artwork and tracklisting for the Fifty Shades of Grey Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. As you know, the movie trailer was viewed more times than Star Wars or Avengers, so there’s definitely a lot of interesting surrounding the movie adaptation of the best-selling book.
