FRIDAY APRIL 10

Stereophonic (Broadway touring), Apr 7-12, $61.50-$131.50

It’s the most Tony Award-nominated Play of all time! Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. An up-and-coming rock band is recording a new album and finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom.

The ensuing pressures could spark their breakup — or their breakthrough. Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, Stereophonic invites the audience to immerse themselves — with fly-on-the-wall intimacy — in the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up.

GWAR, Apr 10, Granada – Lawrence, Sold Out

The intergalactic warlords of GWAR are returning to lay waste to humanity with The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour, a massive invasion featuring Soulfly as direct support and King Parrot opening every night. This unholy gathering promises a night of unrelenting spectacle, pulverizing riffs, and gallons of gloriously unnecessary bodily fluid.

Since crash-landing on Earth in 1985, GWAR have cemented their legacy as the undisputed overlords of shock rock. With grotesque mythology, over-the-top theatricality, and a barbaric sense of humor, GWAR’s live shows remain an all-out assault on the senses, fusing bludgeoning metal with wild performance art, filthy satire, and unapologetic interstellar absurdity.

GWAR’s new multimedia release, ‘The Return of Gor Gor,’ sees the band continuing their reign of cultural annihilation with three brand-new tracks alongside live recordings from the band’s 2024 tour. Further proving no institution is safe, GWAR are ready to conquer the stage and punish the galaxy one filthy city at a time.
