A Silent Film

As soon as Greycoats set ended, A Silent Film’s fans raced up front to the stage: clearly, they were the band of the hour. The English alternative band had great energy, with a dedicated singer

Flagship

Flagship’s soundcheck and stage setup took nearly an hour, going well passed their originally set time of 9:30pm. I am assuming the long setup was due to sound problems with their guitarist’s
A Silent Film and opening band Flagship played the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis last night.

This is just a quick post to get some basic information, tour dates, photos, and setlists online, as soon as possible.

It was a night of panoramic, widescreen sounds as both bands played their own brand of anthemic indie rock.

Flagship

Charlotte. NC band Flagship had a lonely highway fringed with darkness sound enhanced by Daniel Lanois/Brian Eno type atmospherics in promotion of their eponymous debut full-length.

The band connected with many in the audience, even playing the requested ‘I Want You’ even though singer Drake Margolnick confessed the band was tired, having just come from Charlotte and an ex-member’s wedding, the day before.

A Silent Film

Oxford, UK band A Silent Film has pared down to a duo since we last saw them, bringing a fellow Oxford resident on bass and two Americans, on tour to play with them.

As a result, the band is in the midst of a rebirth of sorts themselves, and as evidenced by their newest and self-titled full-length.

The band’s large and lit diamond-shaped logo sign dominated the back of the stage; so much so that the band couldn’t freely leave and come back, so they stay out to begin after tuning, and never left before going into the encore.
