CHVRCHES

We’re big fans of Scottish band Chvrches. The trio has been busy with their massive headlining tour, but they recently gave us “Leave a Trace” song remixed by LA producer Goldroom. If you recall, we previously mentioned that Goldroom’s real name is Josh Legg, who is also in a synthpop band called NightWaves.

Hear the song on soundcloud.com.

Santigold

Once upon a time, Santigold was called Santogold. That’s all in the past, she is back in 2012, with Spin Magazine predicting her to be “one of 2012’s pop queens”. …
SANTIGOLD

santigold.com

Santigold (previously known as Santogold), became “Santagold” recently when she gave us a gift of letting us know that her third album 99¢ will be released worldwide on February 26th via Atlantic Records.

Regarding the title, Santigold commented, “We have no illusion that we don’t live in this world where everything is packaged… People’s lives, persona, everything, is deliberate, and mediated. It can be dark and haunting and tricky, and freak us out, but it can be also be silly and fun and we can learn to play with it”.

Anyway, we’re pretty sure the album will cost more than 99 cents.

THE ARCS

thearcs.com

“Fools Gold” is a new exclusive track from The Arcs (featuring Black Key’s Dan Auerbach). The song is available on the 30th Century Records Compilation Volume I, the first official release from Danger Mouse’s eclectic new label imprint under Columbia Records. The compilation was made available everywhere last December 18.

“Generally, Fool’s Gold is made of iron or copper pyrites that are often mistaken for gold,” Auerbach told Rolling Stone in a statement about the track. “It has the same thrilling discovery, the same shiny luster and perceived weight as gold, but it isn’t gold and when all is said and done, it has the same value as a hunk of shit. It’s always been so easy to be a fool. We recorded this song at Easy Eye Sound in the summer of 2015. Honored to have it released on Brian’s new imprint.”

30th Century Records Compilation Volume I Track Listing:

1. Apache Sun – Club Noir

2. Maybird – Big Sun Explosion

3. Autolux – Change My Head

4. Paper Morning – Mad As A Hat

5. Waterstrider – Soundless Sea

6. Sam Cohen – Lose Your Illusion

7. The Arcs – Fools Gold

8. Nine Pound Shadow – Melody

9. Bike – Enigma Do Dente Falso

10. Big Search – Please Do Not Explain

11. Jock Gang – Tell Me About It
