It’s been a good few years since we last saw Danish singer/pianist Agnes Obel at the Dakota Jazz Club in Oct 2014…. so it’s good news that she’ll be back in town at the Cedar Cultural Center. The venue is such a great place to actually hear music, and given Obel’s quiet songs and dedicate music notes, that this will be the perfect place for her to play.

Show up early to check out Los Angeles’ Ethan Gruska, who is joining Obel on her remaining U.S.A. shows. Gruska’s new album Slowmotionary came out on Sire Records.

We’ve been writing about the Digs for many, many years, and I’ve often mention that they are not the 90s band Dig.
