Local legend Tommy Stinson (from The Replacements and Soul Asylum) has a new project called
Cowboys in the Campfire, a duo with his good friend Chip Roberts. Their debut album Wronger is out now.

We’ve seen Tommy Stinson before, he’s a lot of fun, and he doesn’t take things that serious, like in Sep 2015, “As for Tommy Stinson, he was having the time of his life. According to Stinson, he just grabbed a few of his buddies and they’re out on tour and writing and recording new music (including his new 7″ for “Breathing Room”, which they played mid-set). While some fans were expecting Stinson to play some Replacements’ classics, Stinson avoided playing any of those songs. That’s fine, I don’t think fans expected it as much.”

Pittsburgh quartet Feeble Little Horse (stylized as feeble little horse) is touring in support of their album, Girl with Fish, out June 9th via Saddle Creek.

They shared their single “Pocket” and Lydia Slocum explains, “for me ‘Pocket’ was a song about being single and not knowing what to do with myself. I got in the habit of showing someone affection and I liked it but then that ended and I just had all these kisses and hugs burning a hole in my pocket! I felt locked out often and like I was just stuck haunted by my old love and it felt like a dead man that wouldn’t leave me alone because the thoughts of it were so intrusive and repetitive.”

Fleet Foxes

Fleet Foxes’ North American tour begins June 13 in Cleveland. The tour will stop by Kansas City (at the Midland Theatre) and Minneapolis (at First Avenue).

We saw Fleet Foxes in Oct 2017, and said, “After a three-year hiatus, Fleet Foxes announced that they were indeed back together and working on a new album, their first new record in six years, on January 1, 2017. The third studio album, entitled Crack-Up (Nonesuch Records), would be a concept album. The album would begin exactly where Helplessness Blues ended.”
