The last time we heard from The Wombats, they released Is This What It Feels Like To Feel Like This? on AWAL. It looks like the Liverpool band is back on tour.
We previously saw Wombats in 05 Feb 2022 and said, “Originally hailing from Liverpool, The Wombats have been on our radar for over fifteen years and are now enjoying their biggest success to date with the January release of fifth studio album Fix Yourself, Not the World (on AWAL Recordings), their very first to Top the UK Album charts after going Top Five previously.”

09/27/2023 WednesdayThe Glorious Sons
with The Velveteers
at First Avenue
first-avenue.com
Canadian rock band The Glorious Sons are currently on tour in support of their new album Glory (BMG Records). The group is known for such hits as “S.O.S. (Sawed Off Shotgun)” and “Panic Attack.”
The Velveteers (not to be confused with the The Velveteens) to open. We previously saw this band in Aug 2023 and said, “To start things off, Boulder CO band The Velveteers were determined to make the large outdoor venue feel more like a small club with a primal indie rock sound that, like the headliners, sounds much bigger than coming from just three people. They’re out in support of 2021’s Nightmare Daydream (on Easy Eye Sounds, Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach’s custom label) and the big sound can be attributed to dual drummers Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig and the wails and sharp riffs of singer/ baritone guitarist Demi Demitro.”
