Make Them Suffer is headlining the Varsity Theater, in Minneapolis, on February 20, 2025.

We saw Make Them Suffer in May 2024 and noted, “Something hardcore must be in the water from Australia, because next up was Perth metalcore band Make Them Suffer, formed back in 2008 and out in support of recent singles, “Ghost of Me” and “Epitaph”, ahead of an expected new album. It will be their first for SharpTone Records since signing with them last year, and a follow-up to 2020’s “How to Survive a Funeral” which was nominated for a down under Indie Music Award.”

Like Moths to Flames, Aviana, and Windwaker to open.

Skinny Lister

English folk-punks Skinny Lister have just announced a number of U.S. festival, headline and support dates in the U.S. during March. Kicking off on March 11 in Austin, TX at the SXSW Music and Arts Festival… however before the festivals, they will be doing a side-gig at the 7th Street Entry, in Minneapolis, on February 20th, 2025.

 

We saw Skinny Lister in Mar 2023 and noted, “The three-act evening would kick off with a spirited, foot-stomping set from London folk punkers, Skinny Lister, in support of their latest album, 2021’s A Matter of Life & Love. Despite their bus breaking down the night before, the band was manic from the opening chords of 2016’s “Wanted” and kept their energy high throughout their short but impressionable set. Co-vocalists Dan Heptinstall and Lorna Thomas and stand-up bassist Scott Milsom kept constantly in motion, with Thomas even announcing she’d arm-wrestle anyone at the merch table as the band broke into the new “Arm Wrestling in Dresden”. From there, north to “Hamburg Drunk” (the band must really have fun in Germany), then back to their native London for 2014’s closing “Trouble on Oxford Street” and a rowdy fun set.”

Southern Alabama’s Muscadine Bloodline will be headlining First Avenue’s mainroom. The duo consists of Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton.

Electronica dance duo Sidepiece will be headlining the Fillmore, in Minneapolis, on February 21, 2025. The group’s second single, “On My Mind”, was a collaboration with dance music hero Diplo, and it earned them a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for ‘Best Dance Recording’.

The group recently announced signing to Toolroom and their album Sex Sells is out now.

David Shaw, the acclaimed singer-songwriter and frontman for The Revivalists will be headlining the Varsity Theater, in Minneapolis, on February 21, 2025.

We saw The Revivalists in June 2023 and wrote, “As can sometimes be the nature of co-headlining tours, the two bands had just met for the first time, at their pre-show dinner, but seemed already musically sympatico and prepared for the numerous cities that lie ahead. New Orleans favorites The Revivalists also had a seventy-five-minute set (plus additional encore time) to win over the crowd, in support of their latest album, Pour It Out Into the Night which was just released on June 2nd via Concord Records.”
