The Brant Bjork Trio is headlining the Turf Club on March 8th, 2025, in support of Once Upon a Time in the Desert (via Duna Records). The trio features influential desert rock pioneer Mario Lalli (Yawning Man, Fatso Jetson, Desert Sessions) on bass guitar, Brant Bjork on guitars, and Ryan Güt on drums.

Magic Castles and Van Glow Light Show to open. We saw Magic Castles in June 2022, and wrote, “Minneapolis’ Magic Castles was next. From the banter on stage, it seems like the band joined The Warlocks’ tour for a few dates and finally ended their tour with their homecoming show at the 7th Street Entry. As you know, we’ve previously mentioned that the local psychedelic band (singer/guitarist Jason Edmonds, singer/guitarist Jeremiah Doering, bassist Paul Fuglestad, drummer Brendan McInerney) used to have a dedicated flutist in the band when we first saw them in May 2016.”

Matt Nathanson is headlining the Uptown Theater on March 8 and 9th, 2025, due to demands.

We saw Matt Nathanson in March 2023 and wrote, “Matt Nathanson is winding down the tour of his latest album (and one of his most personal), Boston Accent, celebrating things with this last leg of shows and a recent Lexington EP, bringing his arsenal of emotionally open folk-rock songs, and next-door charm and humor, into his hundred-minute headlining set. The title track of the new record opened things, and with it, Nathanson opened himself up right away to the crowd, musically telling of his upbringing with he and his two band mates (Adam Popick and Aaron Tap) all “lit like angels by the Citgo sign” from an illuminated logo of that classic gas station brand in the back right of the stage set up.”

Lisa Loeb, the girl with the specs appeal, to open. The Grammy winner recently collaborated with folk music band The Hollow Trees for That’s What It’s All About, and also collaborated with Debi Derryberry for “The Compost Bin.”
