Legendary 80s pop singer Pat Benatar, famous for “Love is a Battlefield” and “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and her Neil Giraldo (who was responsible for many of her hit songs), will be stopping by the Amp, in St Augustine, Florida, on May 1st. St Augustine is about one hour from Jacksonville, but it may be worth the long drive if you’ve never seen Pat Benatar before.

Alt-pop trio Smallpools are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Lovetap!, with a special tour… stopping by Jack Rabbit’s in Jacksonville, on May 2, 2025. The band’s latest album is
Ghost Town Road.

We saw Smallpools on their first tour, in July 2013, and wrote, “Opening up for all the U.S. dates so far is Smallpools, a band based out of Los Angeles (although their guitarist Mike Kamerman said that he’s from New Jersey, singer Sean Scanlon is from New York, and everyone else was from Oregon?) The turnout to last night show was incredible, especially for a Wednesday. Fans packed in early (always a good sign when there is a line before the doors open), because there were a lot of cross-over fans who wanted to see Smallpools as well as San Cisco.”
