The Brotherhood of Rock Tour
feat. Styx & Kevin Cronin Band

with Don Felder
at Dailys Place

dailysplace.com

The special The Brotherhood of Rock Tour will be stopping by Daily’s Place, in Jacksonville, on June 2, 2025.

This rock tour will feature Styx playing Grand Illusion album with other hit songs and REO Speedwagon will play Hi Infidelity album. Technically it is billed as Kevin Cronin Band, as Cronin said to not perform as REO Speedwagon due to most of the band members have retired or have passed away.

We saw REO Speedwagon with Styx and Ted Nugent in April 2013 and said, “How much at WeHeartMusic do we actually ‘heart music’? – enough to grab a ticket on the 4-hour/3-band extravaganza that is the ‘Midwest Rock n’ Roll Express Tour’ that rolled into Target Center Friday night. This outing, in its second year, features the (1981) dream line-up of REO Speedwagon, Styx, and Ted Nugent in a bill that would have easily filled stadiums 30+ years ago, but is now relegated to mostly casinos and outdoor amphitheatres. But, while times change, these acts endure and smartly opted to join forces for an entertaining evening of mostly hit-filled sets and pro-America rhetoric.”

Special guests Don Felder from The Eagles to open.

If anything, we think Felder is famous for his double-neck guitar, which we saw in full action at Starkey Hearing Foundation 18th Annual Awards in July 2018, playing alongside Alice Cooper and Robbie Krieger from The Doors: ““Anybody recognize this guitar?” four-time Grammy Award winning ex-guitarist for The Eagles, Don Felder asked, holding up his signature double neck before strumming the recognizable first chords of ‘Hotel California’’. Felder then introduced [Alice] Cooper, and he and the band dove straight into ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’, accompanied by the legendary guitarist from The Doors, Robbie Krieger.”

jaxlive.com

Roots rock band Dispatch is headlining the Amp, in St Augustine, on June 3, 2025.

Special guests includes John Butler (with Band), G. Love & Special Sauce, and Donavon Frankenreiter.

We saw G Love and Special Sauce in Oct 2022 and wrote, “As for G. Love aka Garrett Dutton, it’s hard to believe he recently turned fifty, as except for some gray hair under that pork-pie hat, still looks much like he did when he broke through in the mid-90s, and Dutton remembered first visiting the city on his first full tour in 1994. The new album is Philadelphia Mississippi, released in June (on his Philadelphonic Records) and is more of the trademark blend of hip-hop, folk, alternative, soul and blues blend, he and his two bandmates (Chuck Treece– drums; Jimi “Jazz” Prescott– string bass) have come to be known for.”

Barenaked Ladies
with special guests Guster & Fastball
at the Amp

theamp.com

Multi-Platinum-selling Rock band Barenaked Ladies announce the return of their legendary Last Summer On Earth 2025 Tour.

We saw the band in June 2015 and said, “Say what you will about Canada’s Barenaked Ladies, but they are a great live band. All those years touring, singer Ed Robertson has developed an amazing ability to randomly improvised some raps and songs. My personal favorite was the “Ring Ding Ding for Red Wing” rap, it’s clear to me that they just actually thought of it while randomly shouting out rhymes. The other favorite moment was when they decided to upgrade “the Bearded Man” to the center front row seats. They sang “New Seats for the Bearded Man” as about 20 people started just moving in a conga line to the front. There were more people than the actual six empty seats in the front, so after an awkward moment, the first group left to make room for the Bearded Man and his friends.”

Guster and Fastball to open.
