We♥KC! April 5-9, 2026 Upcoming concerts / shows (Kansas City, MO / Lawrence, KS metro)
An Easter present!
On heels of their previous Ash Wednesday surprise EP, Days of Ash, U2 surprise released a follow-up EP, Easter Lily– another set of six songs, released in advance of an anticipated full-length, later this year. While the initial EP was an urgent response to the issues that fill the headlines daily (and specifically the unrest in Minneapolis), the new EP is more calm and reflective, both retrospective and introspective in its music and lyrics..
Edge shines on the new songs, both with some unmistakable riffs, lead vocals on the first track, and some nice arrangements and though we’re scratching our heads at the Brian Eno-produced final song, it’s great to have some new music since we last saw them live at The Sphere in late 2023.
Let’s take look at the Kansas City / Lawrence KS metro musical happenings for the rest of the week from April 5th to 9th.

SUNDAY APRIL 5
Midnight til Morning, Apr 5 Truman,$41
The Midnight Til Morning 2026 World Tour features the four-piece pop group formed on Netflix’s Building the Band (Shane Appell, Zach Newbould, Conor Smith, Mason Watts). The tour showcases their signature harmonies and energy, supporting hits like “Bye” and “Ghost of Us.”
The tour began in January and covers North America, followed by Europe, and Latin America and is said to feature a mix of their original music as well as a few popular covers. The tour follows their rapid rise after the show’s debut, with the group collaborating on songs with prominent songwriters.
Krooked Kings, Apr 5, recordBar, Sold Out
The Krooked Kings‘ “In Another Life Tour” starts here in KC and covers April and May and supports their latest release, “Telephobia” which explores the strangeness of modern digital connection.
The new record also focuses on themes of coming-of-age, digital disillusionment, and personal growth and highlights the group’ s reputation for raw, emotional indie rock, with performances featuring hits like “Catacombs” and “Sick of Being Young”.
MONDAY APRIL 6
TUESDAY APRIL 7
Menzingers w I Am the Avalanche, Apr 7, Warehouse on Broadway,$29.25-$36.50
Scranton, PA punk veterans, The Menzingers’ 2026 tour, focuses on energetic performances of their punk-rock anthems, emphasizing material from their 2023 album Some Of It Was True as well as some of those more classic songs like “After the Party” and “Lookers”.. Along the way, the band will play the Slam Dunk Festival in the UK and the Vans Warped Tour in both Montreal and Washington DC, among other stops.
Arrive early for I Am the Avalanche, a Brooklyn punk/emo band formed in 2004 by former The Movielife frontman Vinnie Caruana. Previous noteworthy releases include Wolverines (2014) and Dive (2020), and earlier this year, the band announced their fifth full-length album, The Horror Show, released through Equal Vision Records, addressing themes of loss, grief, and resilience.
Stereophonic (Broadway touring), Apr 7-12, $61.50-$131.50
It’s the most Tony Award-nominated Play of all time! Stereophonic mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. An up-and-coming rock band is recording a new album and finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom.
The ensuing pressures could spark their breakup, or their breakthrough. Written by David Adjmi, directed by Daniel Aukin, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s Will Butler, Stereophonic invites the audience to immerse themselves — with fly-on-the-wall intimacy — in the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up.
WEDNESDAY APRIL 8
Onslaught w/ Warlord, Apr 8, Warehouse on Broadway,$18.50-$38.50
The UK metal legends Onslaught are hitting North American soil for the first time in well over a decade performing their “The Force From Hell” set. It’s the perfect amalgamation of their two seminal albums The Force and Power From Hell and they’ve brought back classic era vocalist Sy Keeler for this very special tour.
Despite being based in Los Angeles, cult metal heroes Warlord have never played North America over their 40-year career span and are co headlining this tour, playing their seminal album, Deliver Us in its entirety plus more classic era material. The two bands embark on this tour de force and are making a midtown KC stop, so sounds like all the makings of a very special (and loud) rocking night!
Tiffany, Apr 8, Knuckleheads,$44.99 (+VIP avail.)
Tiffany earned two U.S. number one hit singles with “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Could’ve Been,” and set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album.
In 2000, Billboard ranked Tiffany’s album The Color of Silence as the “Top Ten Best Albums of the Year.”and flash forward to her 10th studio album, Pieces of Me, which found her both as writer and co-producer for the first time. Her 11th studio album, Shadows, was released in late 2022, and featured the single, “I Like the Rain.”
THURSDAY APRIL 9
Moon Walker, Apr 9, Bottleneck-Lawrence,$28.19
The prolific Brooklyn indie rocker has shared five albums over the last five years, amassed over 100 million total streams, sold out shows across America, and developed a loyal and enthusiastic fanbase. He has performed and toured with such artists as Tool, Primus, Coheed and Cambria, and Fishbone. His next album Wasteland Country is out May 1, less than a year after the release of his breakthrough fourth album, Is This The World You Wanted?
Moon Walker has consistently delivered biting social commentary with poignant lyricism through both his thrashing garage rock and acoustic-driven tunes–all with a clear message, such as on the recent No Kings protest song, “Parade”.
The independent musician has built up a fervent fan base and can take credit for such online streaming numbers such as 700K+ Spotify monthly listeners, 150M+ Spotify streams, 140K+ subscribers on YouTube, 150M+ views on YouTube, and 1M+ TikTok followers. Live, expect Black Sabbath and Nirvana covers, as well as an early peek at the new songs and of course, some older favorites.
