UK’s The Cribs (featuring three Jarman brothers) will be headlining the 7th Street Entry, in Minneapolis, on May 2, 2026, in support of Selling A Vibe (Play It Again Sam).
We saw The Cribs in Sep 2015 and wrote, “I think it’s best summed up by The Cribs‘ guitarist/vocalist Ryan Jarman as he exclaimed, “Let’s rock like it’s 2007!” referring to their first St Paul show. The trio, featuring twins Ryan & Gary, and younger brother Ross Jarman, are currently touring in support of their sixth studio album For All My Sisters, which came out last March 2015 via Sonic Blew / Sony RED UK. Only a handful of new tracks (“Different Angle”, “An Ivory Hand”, “Burning For No One”, “Summer Of Chances”, and set closer “Pink Snow”) were played, instead the trio picked some fan-favorite tracks like “Come on, be a No-One” from 2012’s In the Belly of the Brazen Bull and “Our Bovine Public”, the intro track from 2007’s Men’s Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever.”

Fan-favorite AFI is back with Silver Bleeds the Black Sun… (Run For Cover Records), and doing a tour (their first tour since 2021) in support of the record. The tour will stop by First Avenue, on May 2, 2026, with Choir Boy as support.
The ticket limit is strict. Any attempt to exceed the posted ticket limit per customer or household, or to game the system in any way, will result in cancellation of orders without notice. There is a transfer delay for all tickets prior to the show.
We saw AFI in Feb 2017 and said, “As for AFI, they started in 1991, led by singer Davey Havok. Currently the band features only two original members, Havok and drummer Adam Carson. The band broke mainstream success with Sing The Sorrow in 2003, but the truth is that they already had millions of fans leading up to their breakout album. Of course, like most bands that started very young, Davey Havok’s influences changed over time… particularly moving away from their hardcore punk roots to something more like “Alt Press” type sound. Still, hearing AFI’s fans all sing to every song, including new songs, tells me a lot about their fanbase. They are a hardcore, dedicated fanbase and they love every AFI songs, from old to new.”
Choir Boy to open.

The New Pornographers returns to the Twin Cities, playing the Fitzgerald Theater, in St Paul, on May 2, 2026, in support of The Former Site Of (Merge Records).
We saw The New Pornographers in Nov 2014 and said, “After a brief intermission, the screen covering the main stage rose, and all eight members of New Pornographers took to the stage to rave applause, starting their set with the harmony laden title track from just-released album, Brill Bruisers (Matador Records); the song itself is homage to the classic Brill Building where so many great records were made. The night began positively and upbeat showcasing an album singer AC Newman describes as a “celebration record” and proved to be the perfect prescription to come in out of the cold for. Singer Neko Case, who dressed in a gray t-shirt and Cleopatra-print leggings (which were all the talk after, on social media) and Newman both commented before the jumpy new ‘Dancehall Domine’, “we’ve had a lot of cupcakes, so we’re bouncing’ off the walls”, to the crowd’s chagrin.”
Will Sheff (of Okkervil River) to open.
If your band is coming to the Minneapolis/St Paul area, please email details to vu@weheartmusic.com with a good lead time. Thank you.
