Prime Day

Like clockwork, Amazon Prime Day is coming up June 23 to 26, 2026. Every year, I will warn you to not buy anything on those days. The reason is simple, from my own experience – every time I order something around Prime Day, they will deliver it to the wrong address/missing deliveries, deliveries takes much longer than the standard two-day shipping (sometime weeks late!), wrong item/wrong color, and out of stock. It is really not worth the headache for a small discount, trust me.

So, instead, I recommend buying things before or wait at least a week after Prime Day to buy something from Amazon.

So ahead of Prime Day and ahead of Father’s Day, I’ve personally got in on some of Amazon’s deals that is worth buying now and not regret it later.

Get 3 for the price of 2

The best deal I’ve seen so far is the “Get 3 for the price of 2” (the wording is basically, buy two and get one free). The popular recommendations are Michael Jackson’s CDs, so if you want to add three MJ CDs or Vinyls to your collection… you are getting the third album for free!

I’ve been personally using this sale to add to my own DC Finest collection. This is really the only comic book series that I’m buying… outside of the random special Absolutes and Omnibuses. My goal is to eventually own all the DC Finest … but I realized that is probably not going to be possible due to budget. So far, I think I have a pretty good collection. I’m planning to add all the future Batman, Swamp Thing, Teen Titans, and Crisis… so I know it’s still growing at a good rate.

Early Prime Day

The Early Prime Day sale is currently underway. While browsing, I was surprised to see that you can buy a whole car from Amazon… Sight unseen! I wouldn’t do that, no idea why anyone would do that.

As usual, with these Early Sales, it’s much to do with all the in-house Amazon products, such as the Kindles and the Echos. If you were waiting for the Colorsoft sale, it’s here, but you have to get it as an Essentials Bundle. It comes with a charger and protective cover… so if you were already planning on getting a cover, you might as well get this bundle for $182. When the Colorsoft originally launched in November 2024, it was priced at $279.

If you were looking to get the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft (the most expensive Kindle ever), get the Essentials Bundle for $534.97. It’ll be cheaper than the Remarkable Paper Pro for $679. I own a RPP and I have buyer’s remorse because I don’t use it enough. I guess you can say I have a Remarkable Paper Weight.

I have previously mentioned that the main reason why you would want an Amazon Kindle is to easily get your digital books onto the device. With the RPP, you have to convert it to PDF and then transfer it using their app. It’s a slow process with several steps. I just wish Remarkable would include a built-in Amazon app, just so I can get my books.
