A make-up date brought a very pleasant end to the 2026 edition of Lowertown Sounds, with The Scarlet Goodbye and opener High on Stress bringing some great rock & roll to St. Paul’s Mears Park.

High on Stress is an American indie and roots rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2003. Fronted by singer-songwriter Nick Leet, the band is heavily influenced by prominent Twin Cities alternative rock and power pop acts like The Replacements, Soul Asylum, and The Jayhawks
