Hüsker Dü was an influential American punk rock band formed in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in 1979. Known for their blistering speed and melodic hooks, they pioneered the 1980s hardcore punk and alternative rock scenes. Their name derives from a Danish board game that translates to “Do you remember?”

Bob Mould at the Cedar Cultural Center, Minneapolis (28 Oct 2023)

Hüsker Dü and Sugar legend Bob Mould is currently on a successful Solo Electric tour, stopping by the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis 28th, 2023. This was an additional show added to his schedule, due to selling out the Turf Club (tonight, October 29)… which, of course, Mould also sold out the Cedar.

Loki’s Folly at 7th St Entry, Minneapolis (26 Feb 2023)

Minneapolis sibling band Loki’s Folly held their debut Sisu album release show at the 7th Street Entry on Sunday, February 26, 2023. The band features three siblings: Annie Kuchenmeister (age 21) as guitarist and singer; Nissa (age 16) as drummer and singer; and Oskar (age 12) as bassist.

Bob Mould Band at First Avenue, Minneapolis (2021-09-25)

Musician Bob Mould headlined First Avenue, in Minneapolis, on September 25. The show was billed as Bob Mould Band, although if you look at the show poster, it lists Bob Mould / Jason Narducy / Jon Wurster... and deserving so, as the band is very good and their names should be recognized.

First Avenue and Prince: Before the Rain exhibits at Minnesota History Center, St. Paul

Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this coming week, First Avenue & 7th St. Entry have been the heart of the Minnesota music scene since its first show (featuring Joe Cocker) in a converted bus station originally called The Depot, then Sam's. That fabled history is documented in a unique exhibit now on display called First Avenue: Stories of Minnesota's Mainroom at the Minnesota History Center.

A loon-calling contest, Tequila Terra, and a special Hüsker Dü encore were all part of a very memorable 30th anniversary performance from Bellingham, WA band The Posies, playing to a crowded Turf Club in St. Paul.
